“The ox steak (Chuletón de buey).”
The Experience
Ses Salines is much more than a beach; it’s a natural park, a fashion runway, and a unique ecosystem all rolled into one. To get there, you have to drive through the salt flats, where—if you’re lucky—you’ll spot flamingos, a journey that sets the stage for something truly special.
The beach is incredibly long, with fine white sand protected by rolling dunes and a forest of ancient pine trees that provide wonderful shade. The water here is exceptionally clear thanks to the Posidonia seagrass meadows (a UNESCO World Heritage site).
It’s famous for its legendary beach clubs (like Jockey or Sa Trinxa), where the music ramps up as the afternoon fades and where you’re very likely to bump into footballers, models, or celebrities. You can choose your own adventure: hike toward the pirate tower to find solitude and hidden nudist coves, or stay in the heart of the action, soaking up Ibiza’s coolest and most cosmopolitan vibe.
